JOB SUMMARY:

The Corporate Warehouse Products Manager, reporting directly to the Director WPS, is responsible for results-driven leadership in all sales efforts for all Warehouse and Storage Solutions.  The position is responsible for developing a sales and marketing initiatives to drive sales, profit and market growth.  Develop and implement strategic and tactical sales plans, which include Allied, Rack, Office, Storage Products and New Equipment.  Proactively develop new business opportunities.  Coordinate internal resources to provide best-in-class pre and post sales service and support to our customers.

Interpersonal contacts are required with individuals both inside and outside the company.   Contacts inside the company will extend to all levels of the organization and the ability to communicate effectively is paramount.  Contacts outside the company are primarily with Customers, Suppliers, other Dealers when appropriate, and Association and industry networking.  Discretion and good business practices must be observed.

A high degree of flexibility is necessary due to the varied customer base, travel schedules, and market-driven changes.  Position involves dealing with complex business conditions due to the need for a thorough understanding of the customer's business environment, and the need to provide the right solution to the customer.  This position is one of high visibility and must be able to promote confidence and trust within the sales organization, and the customer base.

JOB DUTIES:

  • As a member of management, this role will contribute to the overall success of the company and be a part of the team providing and executing strategic growth patterns.
  • Company strategy - participate in defining and implements corporate goals, objectives and strategies.
  • Exceed financial targets and business plans.
  • Responsible to understand industry trends and conditions, and some of our customer's industries.Effectively use that intelligence to influence strategy and communicate accordingly throughout the Company.
  • Forecasting - maintain and accurately forecast company's booking and revenues for the Warehouse Product Division to executive management.
  • Provide critical input to align company with current and future sales objectives.
  • Responsible for overall performance of the Warehouse Products organization; including planning, budgeting, administration, project planning, and marketing strategy.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with both Marketing Branding and Market Development functions including management and implementation of customer intelligence marketing and customer communication programs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Provide sales leadership and technical training.
  • Travel to customer sites for sales calls and presentations.
  • Participate in industry related trade shows and seminars as required.
  • Maintain long-term perspective.  Capability of managing today for the benefit and influence of tomorrow.

  • Seasoned management skills to motivate and inspire optimum performance from external regional sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability and proven track record in sales leadership; generating new sales prospects, securing new business and expanding territory sales growth.
  • Consultative ability to assist customer to identify their requirements and present recommendations on the most appropriate solutions.
  • Best practices; increasing the status quo and instill accountability.
  • Management skills to effectively coordinate resources to provide prompt and appropriate response to customer requirements.
  • Must be a strategic thinker. There must be an understanding of the end customer's decision making process with respect to supplier selection.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and business processes, establishing self and company as a valued resource.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to be effective in cross-functional environment.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, providing coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Track and monitor the team to meet objectives and goals, taking corrective action to achieve the required results.
  • Implement new product initiatives, sales strategies and marketing plans to develop new business.
  • Retain and continue to grow existing customer accounts.
  • Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and creatively with general business acumen
  • Presentation skills and confidence to present company and product in one-on-one settings or to large gathering of potential customers.
  • Excellent written skills for production of proposal and correspondence with customers.
  • A minimum of 10%-20% travel is required.
  • Good computer skills; including competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This is a base + bonus position and company Vehicle will also be provided.
